PLAYWRIGHT TO VISIT ROANOKE JAN. 13

Edward Albee, the three-time Pulitzer Prize winning playwright, will be in the Roanoke Valley on Jan. 13 for appearances sponsored by North Cross School and Mill Mountain Theatre.

Albee will be the featured speaker at a Founders Day convocation at North Cross. That evening, his appearance on the main stage of Mill Mountain Theatre will be open to the public and will feature readings and a question-and-answer session. Tickets are $10.

Albee probably is best known for his play "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf." His plays "A Delicate Balance," "Seascape" and "Three Tall Women" have won Pulitzer Prizes. "Three Tall Women" opened in April and won best play honors at the 40th Evening Standard Drama Awards in London.
