NEVER MIND THE STRIKE; HERE'S COLLEGE BASEBALL, FINE AS EVER

Like baseball but don't want replacement players? Well, RADFORD UNIVERSITY BASEBALL is back on WVRU (89.9 FM). The station kicks off its 1995 Highlander baseball broadcast schedule Wednesday, 2:50 p.m., as Radford and James Madison face off on the Highlanders' home turf.

WVRU carries three other games this season, including the April 11 game with Virginia Tech, the first game in Radford between the two schools in five years. Fans can catch the University of North Carolina at Charlotte game April 5 and the game against Big South rival Liberty College April 28. Airtimes for all games is 2:50 p.m.

Now for something completely different: INDIAN MUSIC is the new addition to the already-eclectic format at Virginia Tech's WUVT (90.7 FM). Upma plays a variety of music from India, including classical, gazels and film songs Saturdays, 1-2 p.m.

Air personalities from CD Country WRIQ (101.7 FM) and Classic Country WRAD (1460 AM) broadcast live Thursday from the new Hardee's on Lee Highway in Fairlawn. Visitors can register to win tickets to the Food City 500 in Bristol, Tenn.

The KOOL Country "Bigfoot" leads the parade lap at New River Valley Speedway's car and truck show today, 8:30 a.m., at New River Valley Mall. Live broadcasts follow on KOOL Country WBNK (100.7 FM), and visitors can register to win tickets to see the Eagles in concert.

14-K WKEX (1430 AM) broadcasts live from the Senior Athletes of Montgomery County's rummage sale Saturday, April 1, 9 a.m.-noon, at the Christiansburg National Guard Armory, College and Depot streets. Bob Smith will be there with the WKEX Clown and freebies for visitors.

"Armchair Quarterback:" Today, 9-10 a.m., on WFNR (710 AM), with special guest Boston College head football coach Dan Henning. Host Levi Garrett moderates a panel of pundits that tackles listeners' questions and comments on regional collegiate and professional sports. NCAA Men's Basketball: "March madness" continues with the men's regional finals this weekend on WFNR (710 AM) from CBS Radio. Today, coverage begins at 3:07 p.m.; Sunday, broadcast time is 2:07 p.m.

Virginia Tech Basketball: The Virginia Tech Sports Network carries National Invitational Tournament action as long as the Hokies are playing. Bill Roth calls the games on.
