Special Olympics today in Radford

RADFORD - Area Nine Special Olympics Spring Games will be held Saturday at Radford High School's Bobcat Stadium.

The event is free and open to the public.

Advanced Placement program help planned

RADFORD - Radford University has developed introductory programs of instruction to assist teachers in the planning and implementation of their Advanced Placement programs. The Advanced Placement Institutes are designed to aid secondary Advanced Placement teachers in Virginia and other states.

The 1995 institutes will focus on two subjects: U.S. History, July 17-21, and U.S. Government and Politics, July 10-14. Each will be limited to 25 teachers.

The programs are designed to be residential or non-residential with all instruction based on Radford's campus.
