CAMDEN, Mary Young, 51, of Roanoke, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 9, 1995 in a local hospital. She was presently working for the Roanoke County and Roanoke City Schools as a Home-Bound Teacher. Survivors include her husband, Norman E. Camden; one son, Nornam E. Camden II; one daughter, Amanda Camden both residing at the home. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 1995 from the Lotz Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Royu Rogers and Rev. Lewis Garst officiating. Burial to follow in Mountain View cemetery. Friends may call at the Lotz Vinton Chapel after 12 noon Monday.

AYERS, Gilmer Franklin, 87, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, June 11, 1995. Mr. Ayers was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, a Navy veteran of WWII, and retired owner of Standard Exterminating Company. Surviving are his wife, Grace Virginia Ayers; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Gilmer C. and Florence Robey Ayers, Waynesboro; grandchildren, Kathy L. Joyner, Cary, N.C., Sharon Leigh Ayers, Charlotte, N.C.; sister, Ethel Crowell, Concord, N.C. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Building Fund at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. A graveside service will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday in Sherwood Memorial Park by Pastor John M. Hawn. BASS, Joseph C. Sr., 63, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, June 11, 1995. He retired from N & W Railway. Surviving are his wife, Thelma Byers Bass; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah B. and Glynn Dudley, Moneta, Tisa M. Bass and Brian Nalley, Roanoke; sons, Joseph C. Bass Jr., Roanoke, Danny L. Bass, Vinton; eight grandchildren; brothers, Jessie Paul Bass, Williamsburg, Earl Bass, Chincoteague, Richard Bass, Las Vegas, Nevada, David Taylor, Richmond. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Tuesday at Oakey's North Chapel, by the Rev. Harry M. Miller Jr. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. CARVER, Dennis Reuben, 58, of Blacksburg, died Sunday, June 11, 1995 at Montgomery Regional Hospital. Mr. Carver was born in Bridgeport, Alabama on December 3, 1936, the son of the late Joe and Mattie Prince Carver. He served in the U. S. Air Force form 1958 to 1962. Mr. Carver was an employee of Hoechst-Celanese Inc., Narrows, Va., with 28 years of service. He transferred from Cumberland, Maryland to the Narrows plant in the fall of 1983. He was a member of the VA Tech Athletic Association. Surviving are his wife, Patty L. Carver; a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly Carver and Kimble Burch; and a grandson, Dennis Yale Burch, all of Lynchburg; one sister, Doris White, Bridgeport, AL.; three brothers, Jay Carver, Jimmy Carver and Richard Carver, all of Belleview, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 1995, at the New Mt . Zion Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Gary Rhinesmith officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.

CLARK, Ruth Grimm, 74, of Salem, died Sunday, June 11, 1995. She was an active member of College Lutheran Church, Salem. Mrs. Clark was also a volunteer for the American Red Cross Blood Mobile. Survivors include her husband, Winfred B. Clark; daughter, Donna Clark; son, Dennis Clark; daughter-in-law, Eveline Clark; grandchildren, Trixie, David, and Kathi; brother, Webster Grimm; sisters, Barbara Moyer and Dorothy Imboden. DUNCAN, Helen Dickerson, 86, of Christiansburg, died Saturday morning, June 10, 1995 in the Montgomery Regional Hospital. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. today, Monday, June 12, 1995 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Willis, conducted by the Rev. Richard H. Horne. There will be no visitation. FOWLER, Carrie Zeiler, 85, of Bedford, died Saturday, June 10, 1995 in Roanoke Memorial Rehabilitation Center. One of eleven children, she was born November 11, 1909 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Louis Zeiler and Caroline Glasser Zeiler. She was the widow of Anson Richard Fowler and was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert A. and Beatrice C. Fowler, Norman R. and Virginia D. Fowler, all of Bedford; one sister, Mildred Z. Hinkle, Fairless Hills, Pa.; grandchildren and their spouses, Bradley and Cheryl Fowler, Richmond, Todd and Kim Fowler, Craig and Kristi Fowler, Brenda and Kevin Patterson, all of Bedford, Daniel Fowler, Hampton; one great-grandchild, Lindsay R. Fowler, Bedford. Funera l services will be conducted Tuesday, June 13, 1995, at 11 a.m. in the Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. D. Glen Langston and the Rev. Howard Green officiating. HUTCHISON, William Edward, 55, of Buchanan, formerly of New Castle, died Sunday, June 11, 1995 in a Salem nursing home. He is survived by one son, Richard Hutchison, Martinsburg, W.Va.; two brothers, Ira Hutchison Jr., and Harold Hutchison; one sister, Elizabeth Martin, all of Roanoke; two special friends, Buddy Gibson and Nancy Anderson. The funeral will be Tuesday, June 13, 11 a.m. at Boitnott Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Hardwick Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

LANG, Margaret Bell, 67, of Roanoke, died Friday, June 9, 1995 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Harvey L. and Edna Jones Bland. She is survived by her husband Jessie Lang Sr.; two daughters and son-in-law, Jessica and Donnie Earls, Sandra Lang; two sons and daughter-in-law, Jessie and Mary Lang Jr., Paul Bland, all of Roanoke; two brothers, Frank Bland, Suffolk and Charles T. Bland, Roanoke; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Funeral will be held Tuesday, June 13, 1995 at 2 p.m. at the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Homer D. Sawyer officiating. LEVESY, Gertrude Taylor, 70, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, June 9, 1995. Survivors include her husband, Fred Levesy; two daughters, Hazel Levesy Smith and Cathy Levesy (Marvin) Pugh, both of Roanoke; four sons, Johnny (Eunice) Levesy, Alfred (Eleen) Levesy, both of Roanoke, Luther (Faith) Levesy,Vinton, and James Levesy, Roanoke; two sisters, Marie Kasey and Eliza Taylor, both of Roanoke; one brother, Otha Taylor, Lynchburg; sisters-in-law, Jean Taylor, Roanoke, Phyllis Taylor, Lynchburg; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday 2 p.m. at the Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Chapel. Rev. Connie Lee will officiate with the interment in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. LLOYD, Bertha, (``Momma""), 92, of Fleetwood, England, passed away Saturday, June 10, 1995. She visited Roanoke many times in the years gone by and made many friends here and will be sadly missed. Surviving are her daughter, Nancy Clarke Wingfield of Roanoke (formerly of Fleetwood, England); son-in-law, William G. Wingfield of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Clarke D. Wingfield of Salem, John P. Wingfield of Richmond, and Joyce M. Wingfield of Vinton; two great-grandchildren, Colin and Heather Wingfield, Salem.

MANSPILE, Adele Glenn, 72, of Buchanan, chose to make her transition at home on June 10, 1995. She is survived by her husband of forty-two years, Rody Lee Manspile; and two daughters, Nancy Guy of Paradise Valley, Ariz., and Janet Broughman of Vinton; along with her sons-in-law, Jeff and Gary; and a granddaughter, Arryn; her brother, Delbert Glenn of Pell City, Ala.; her sisters, Pauline Dudley of Lexington, and Ruby Rohr of Stuarts Draft. She grew up in rural Rockbridge County and spent most of her life working in the church she grew up in, along with helping her family and friends. The family will be receiving friends Monday, June 12, 1995 between 7 and 8 p.m. at the Rader Funeral Home in Buchanan. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Buchanan on Tuesday, June 13, 1995 at 10 a.m. officiated by the Rev. Patty Allen with a graveside service following at Fairview Cemetery, Buchanan.

MILLER, Donald E., 65, of 247 Cross Road, Lexington, S.C., died Sunday, June 11, 1995. Born in Blacksburg, Va., he was the son of the late Luther T. and Francis Graves Miller. He was an Air Force veteran of 20 years, retired from the Federal Aeronautics Association as a Flight Investigator and was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, Julia Barnett Miller; four daughters, Debra Harrington and Gail Felton, both of Lexington, S.C., Connie Slocum, Kingsport, Tenn., and Donna Lorick, Virginia Beach; a son Don Miller, Lexington, S.C.; and grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday in Caughman-Harmon Funeral Homes, Lexington, S.C., Chapel with burial in Woodbridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.

MILLS, Gertrude Nicholas, 85, of Blacksburg, died Saturday, June 10, 1995 in Heritage Hall Health Care, Blacksburg, Mrs. Mills was born August 31, 1909 to the late John and Fannie Blanche Nicholas and was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Cornelius Paul Mills Sr. and Cornelius Paul Mills Jr. She was also preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers. She is survived by one son and his wife, Arnold E. and Helen Mills, Newport; one daughter and special friend, Paulette Mills Hughes and Robert Gore, Charlottesville; two grandchildren, Tammy M. Jones, Pembroke and Eugene Todd Mills, Newport; and one great-grandchild. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, June 13, 1995 at 10 a.m. in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg, with the Rev. Herbert Hobbs officiating. NETTLES, Eva Shively, 82, of Rt. 1 Wirtz, died Sunday, June 11, 1995 at her home. A daughter of the late Sheriff and Effie Morris Shively. She was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Z. Nettles, and a sister, Jewel Peters. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Wilford Altice, Wirtz, Mary and John Holland, Penhook; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Pete Clements, Rocky Mount, and Barbara Sink, Ferrum; one brother and sister-in-law, Granville and Vergie Shively, Martinsville; six grandchildren, Alan Holland, Boulder, Colo., Michael Altice, Wirtz, Deborah McCullough, Alexandria, Kathy Amos and Tammy Truman, both of Wirtz, Sandra Holland, Alexandria; also surviving are seven great-grandchildren. PARCELL, James E., (""Edd""), 72, of Roanoke, died Sunday, June 11, 1995. He was a retired audio engineer with WSLS television station, having served 28 years and also retired as an audio engineer with Roanoke Civic Center. He was a charter member of Villa Heights Lions Club and a lifetime D.A.V. member. Mr. Parcell was also the owner of Cotton Hill Publishing Comapny and former owner of Associated Recording Company. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Carper Parcell, Roanoke; and former wife, Beatrice Parker Parcell, Roanoke; and many relatives and good friends. A graveside funeral service will be conducted 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 1995 at Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton, with the Rev. Dr. Gregory L. Adkins officiating. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Monday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. The family suggests that donations be made to the American Heart Association or Juvenile Diabetes Association.

PETTY, Roy L., 78, of Dinwiddie County, died Saturday, June 10, 1995 at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg. Mr. Petty was a native of Halifax County and was the son of the late Bunyon Glass and Lottie Bass Ingram Petty. Mr. Petty was an Army Veteran of World War II, a retired Store Manager for A&P in Richmond, a member of the Khedive Temple Masonic Lodge, Norfolk, and was a memebr of First Baptist Church of Petersburg. Mr. Petty is survived by his wife, Doris Tyler Petty; three daughters and two sons, Nancy P. Simmons, Roy L. Petty Jr., both of Roanoke, Charles T. Petty of Mechanicsville, Sarah P. Rawlings of Franklin, and Ruth P. Bush of Wi chita, Kan.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters and one brother; Mrs. Annie Perkinson of Ettrick, Mrs. Velma Gardner of Lynchburg, Mrs. Sarah Pamplin of Mocoaca, Mrs. Doris Harrison of Newport News, and Mr. Carlton Petty of Colonial Heights. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 13, 1995 at 2 p.m. in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, with the Rev. D. Allen Schuyler officiating. TUELL, Dent W., (``Dee""), 58, of Salem, passed away Saturday, June 10, 1995 in a lo cal hospital after a brief illness. He was retired from U. S. Air as a freight agent. He was a member of the Lakeland Masonic Lodge #190. Surviving are his loving wife of 39 years, Judy Patterson Tuell; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Rusty Watson, Myrtle Beach, S. C.; son, Tim W. Tuell, Salem; four grandchildren, DeAnna and Casey Tuell, Salem, Blake and Jorden Watson, Myrtle Beach, S. C.; brothers, Haines Tuell, Bristol, Tenn. and Roy Tuell, Bristol, Va.; sisters, Margaret Clendenen, Bristol, Mary Sue Bowers, Abingdon, Floye Tester, Gay Abel, both of Bristol, Va.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stanley and Maude Patterson, Salem. WORRELL, Everett Woodrow, 82, of Route 4, Hillsville, husband of Mrs. Ita Alderman Worrell, died Sunday, June 11, 1995 at the Community Hospital of the Roanoke Valley. Mr. Worrell was born in Carroll County, November 21, 1912, son of the late Brooks and Fannie Ga rdner Worrell, was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy, a member of Grover King VFW Post #1115, and was retired owner of Worrell's Carpet Outlet. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ita Alderman Worrell of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Ann Bass of Wytheville; three sons, Wayne Worrell of Mt. Airy, N.C., Tommy Worrell of Hillsville, and Everett W. (``Buster"") Worrell Jr. of Bell Springs; four grandchildren, Bobby Bass of Wytheville, Leigh Ann Worrell of Cana, Allen Worrell of Hillsville, and Doty Worrell of Mt. Airy, N.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Kathleen Marshall of Coatsville, Pa., Mrs. Clarice Houpe of Statesville, N.C., and Mrs. Freida Dickerson of La Plata, Md. In addition to his parents, Mr. Worrell was preceded in death by a son, Allen Woodrow Worrell and a brother, John Brooks Worrell. WRIGHT, Frances Lofland, 74, of Salem, died Saturday, June 10, 1995. She was predeceased by her husband, John F. Wright, and daughter, Julia Lynn. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. C. A. Lofland, Roanoke; son and daughter-in-law, John and Karen Sue Wright, Salem; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Bill Larkins, Glen Burnie, Md. and Susan and Brett Mowery, Roanoke; two grandchildren, Larry Wright, Salem and Nikki Howard, Roanoke; three sisters, Mary Miller, Peru, Ill, Dorcas Lofland, Roanoke, and Sally McNamee, Manassas.
