LOCAL GOLFERS COMPETE FOR DISNEY TRIP

Approximately 125 area golfers will tee it up for a trip to Disney World today at Hunting Hills Country Club.

The southwest Roanoke club plays host to a sectional qualifier of the 12th annual Oldsmobile Scramble national tournament to be held Sept.28-Oct.2 in Orlando, Fla.

The five-man teams, which consist of a club professional and four amateur partners, will compete in gross and net divisions. The two winners in each class advance to the national.

The Hunting Hills qualifier is one of 150 sectional events leading to the Olds Scramble, the largest tournament - participant-wise - in golf.
