CAVALIERS GET SHOT AT BULLETS

Virginia will play its first of two preseason men's basketball games when it entertains the Brisbane (Australia) Bullets tonight at 7:30 at University Hall.

UVa welcomes back three starters - guards Harold Deane and Curtis Staples and center Chris Alexander - from last year's team.

Coach Jeff Jones said his starting lineup will come from among those three, junior Jamal Robinson, sophomore Norman Nolan and freshman Courtney Alexander.

Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for fans 18 and younger.

Three Roanoke College players are on the All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference field hockey team. Ali Oglesby was named to the first team, and Anne Marie Pelliccio and Tina Boyce were second-team choices.
