THE ROTARY CLUB OF ROANOKE VALLEY has elected officers for its board of directors. Brian Duncan is president, and Jennings Byrd is president-elect. Other officers include: Everett Werness, secretary; James Harshaw, treasurer; and Betty Bussey, immediate past president.

T.D. STEELE of Roanoke has been elected as a delegate to the 112th annual meeting of the American Angus Association in Louisville, Ky.

Steele, a member of the American Angus Association, is one of 307 Angus breeders who have been elected by fellow members to serve as representatives at the annual meeting.

MICHAEL MOORE of the Salem Rescue Squad was awarded Life Membership in the Virginia Association of Volunteer Rescue Squads during its recent 61st annual convention held in Roanoke.

SHARON BROWN, food service supervisor, has been named Employee of the Year at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Salem. The award was presented at the seventh annual employee recognition ceremony and picnic as part of National Food Service Worker Appreciation Week.
