Hollins lecture, dance

New York's Jane Comfort and Company will give a lecture and demonstration and perform their dance "S/He" Wednesday at Hollins College.

"S/He" examines gender and role reversal. Featuring characters like a pregnant man, a black female president and a husband-beating wife, the work seeks to reveal the injustice of a patriarchal and racist society. It begins at 8:15 p.m. in the Hollins Theatre.

The lecture, demonstration and workshop on simple compositional techniques will be at 4:40 p.m. in the Botetourt Dance Studio.

Both activities are free and open to the public.
