Club raffle
PULASKI - The Claytor Lake Water Ski Club is conducting a fund-raising raffle in which the winner can choose from three major prizes.
The holder of the winning ticket, to be announced May 31, can receive either a water sports package including a 1996 Mastercraft Prostar 190 and WetJet Personal Watercraft; a 1996 Chevrolet Corvette coupe; or $30,000 in cash.
Each ticket costs $100, and no more than 750 tickets will be sold. All entries received by March 1 will also be eligible for a drawing on 10 free tickets in the raffle.
For raffle tickets, send a $100 check to the Claytor Lake Ski Club, Ultimate Dream Raffle, Dept. WS, P.O. Box 792, Pulaski, Va. 24301. Further information is available by calling 994-2223.
The club will use the proceeds to continue its promotion of environmental awareness and water safety programs and to refurbish or buy new equipment.
County committee
BLACKSBURG - The Montgomery County Democratic Party will elect a county committee for 1996-97 Saturday at 10 a.m., at the county courthouse in Christiansburg. Registration begins at 9:30.
Democrats who are registered voters in Montgomery County will choose five members and five alternates from each district for the county committee.
The committee is responsible for the nominating and delegate selection process.
