COLLEGE NOTES

AMY WOODWARD, a Salem resident who attends Williams College, displayed art in an exhibit at the Goodrich Gallery in Williamstown, Mass. The exhibit of student artists included drawings, paintings, prints, sculptures, digitized images and text.

OLD DOMINION UNIVERSITY recently graduated the following Roanoke -area students in its Teletechnet program at Virginia Western Community College: James L. Chumley Jr., Roanoke; Philip D. Cockram, Blue Ridge; Kevin E. Edwards, Troutville; Tony G. Gurley, Blue Ridge; Eric D. Hatter, Roanoke; and James R. Moore Jr., Roanoke.

MICHELLE NOELL, daughter of Ed and Jeannette Noell of Roanoke, was selected to the Honor's Program at Longwood College. She is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School.

JENNIFER DAUM, daughter of Conrad and Bev Daum of Roanoke, was inducted into the Golden Key National Honor Society at James Madison University.

LINDA D. WICKERT, daughter of Clyde and Mardell Davis of Roanoke, recently received her master's degree in education curriculum and instruction from Virginia Tech. She teaches mathematics at the Fleming-Ruffner Magnet Center in Roanoke.

DANA LANNING, daughter of Hershel and Sandra Vaughn Jr. of Roanoke, recently earned her master's degree in education curriculum and instruction from Virginia Tech. She teaches mathematics at the Fleming-Ruffner Magnet Center in Roanoke.

ROBERT J. PAFFORD IV, son of Robert and Charlsie Pafford III of Roanoke, recently received his master's degree in chemistry from Virginia Tech.

GREGORY ALLEN MOSER of Salem has completed a master of divinity degree at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C.

ELON COLLEGE in North Carolina is including two Roanoke students in the 1995 Who's Who in American Universities and Colleges.

Scott Patrick Sartini, son of Mr. and Mrs. Valentino J. Sartini; and Lori Marie Ungerer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Ungerer, were recognized for academic achievement, community service, extracurricular activity, leadership and potential for continued success.

CHARDIE BAIRD of Roanoke was named to the 1996 Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.

Baird attends the College of Charleston in Charleston, S.C.

DARYL BRANTLEY ALLDER of Roanoke has earned an occupational therapy assisting diploma from Northeast Louisiana University.

NATHAN K. MUSSELMAN, son of Neal and Karin Musselman of Roanoke, has earned a $1,000 academic scholarship from Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg. After his 1996 graduation from Patrick Henry High School, he plans to major in biblical studies and theology.

JOYCE DENISE MERRIMAN of Roanoke has earned a degree in child development and family relations from East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C.

THE NATIONAL BUSINESS COLLEGE has named 31 Roanoke students to its fall semester dean's list. The students, who maintained a 3.5 grade-point average or higher, are: Trina L. Alachnowicz, Carolyn C.
