Mr. Eugene Allen and Mr. and Mrs. Carl E. Leonard, Jr., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Gina Lorelle, to Jerry Gene Herndon, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Gene Herndon. Gina graduated from William Byrd High School and Virginia Western Community College in Radiologic Technology. She is employed by Vitramon, Inc. Jerry graduated from William Byrd High School and is employed by Tread Corp. The wedding is planned for November 16, 1996.

Allen-Nakhle

Mr. Eugene Allen and Mr. and Mrs. Carl E. Leonard, Jr., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Keisha Renee, to Charles Michael Nakhle, son of Charlie and Georgette Nakhle and Connie and Wayne Hurley. Keisha and Mike are attending Va. Tech and will graduate May 1997. the wedding is planned for February 14, 1998.

Deanna L. Bannister and Robert J. Weld are engaged and planning to be married on August 24, 1996 in Roanoke. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary L. Bannister of Roanoke. She graduated from Cave Spring High School and Roanoke College, and is employed by Crestar Bank. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore L. Weld of Roanoke. He is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and Virginia Tech, and is employed by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality.

Buehler-Ransom

Mr. and Mrs. Carl John Buehler, Jr., of Cherry Hill announce the engagement of their daughter, Blair Elizabeth, to Robert Leo Ransom, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Howard Ransom of Decorah, Iowa.

Miss Buehler graduated from Roanoke College in 1989 and is a teacher with Roanoke City Schools.

Mr. Ransom graduated from Luther College, Decorah, Iowa, and received his Master of Health and Physical Education degree from Illin ois State University in 1993. He is a teacher and athletic trainer with Roanoke City Schools.

Burch-Janson

Dr. and Mrs. Gordon Burch of Roanoke, Va., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Deborah Lynne Burch, to John M. Janson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter M. Janson of Chesapeake, Va. Deborah is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and Randolph Macon College and is presently completing her degree in Nursing at the College of Health Sciences and will graduate in May. John is a small business consultant working with N.A.S.E. He resides in Chase City, Va. A May 25th wedding is planned.

Kimberly Dawn Chewning and Frederick Robert Lawson are engaged and planning to be married September 21, 1996, in Vinton, Va. She is the daughter of Mr. Kenneth G. Chewning of Vinton and Mrs. Linda M. Markham of Hardy, Va. She is a graduate of William Byrd High School and Va. Tech. Kimberly is currently employed by Labrie & Associates Real Estate. He is the son of Ronnie and Brenda Lawson of Blacksburg, Va. He graduated from Blacksburg High School and is currently employed by Va. Tech.

Driscoll-Hannan

C. Leanne ``Totsie'' Driscoll and John Patrick Hannan, Jr. are engaged and planning to be married on October 19, 1996, in Roanoke. She is a daughter of Wayne and Cathy Driscoll of Floyd Co. She was graduated from Floyd Co. High School and graduated from Mary Washington College in 1991 with a BS in Psychology. She is employed b y At Home Care, Inc. as the Billing Director. He is a son of John and Marianne Hannan of Basking Ridge, N.J. He was graduated from Ridge High School and graduated from Mary Washington College in 1992 with a BS in Business Administration. He is employed by Lanier Worldwide as a Sales Rep.

Gross-Huff

Dr. and Mrs. Frank Irving Gross of Richmond, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca Ann, to Dr. Christopher Barrett Huff, son of Dr. and Mrs. Wallace Lee Huff, Sr. of Blacksburg, Virginia.

Miss Gross received her underg raduate degree in psychology from the University of Virginia. She earned a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Dr. Huff received his undergraduate degree from the Virginia Military Institute and graduated from the Medical College of Virginia, School of Dentistry. Dr. Huff practices dentistry in Blacksburg.

A March wedding is planned.

Guilliams-Messenger

Pamela Kay Guilliams and John Alan Messenger are engaged and planning to be married on April 20, 1996, in Callaway, Va. She is the daughter of Mrs. Betty F. Guilliams of Callaway and the late Bernard L. (Pete) Guilliams. She was graduated from Franklin County High School and is employed by Roanoke City Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court. He is the son of Mrs. Ina J. Messenger of Callaway and the late W. D. (Tiny) Messenger, Sr. He was graduated from Franklin County High School and is employed by the Virginia Army National Guard.

Haynes-Hurley

Ms. Ellen B. Haynes and Mr. Ronald E. Haynes of Roanoke are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Page Devore, to John Carson Hurley, son of Mrs. Doris P. Agee and Mr. Carson M. Hurley of Roanoke. An August 17, 1996, wedding is planned.

Jones-Wray

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jones of Glade Hill and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Wray of Rocky Mount are please to announce the engagement of their children, Susan Renae Jones and Matthew Randall Wray.

Susan Renae is a graduate of Franklin County High School and Virginia Western Community College and is employed by American Electric Power. Matthew Randall is a graduate of Franklin County High School and is currently a senior at Ferrum College.

The wedding is planned for April 20, 1996 at Colonial Presbyterian Church in Roanoke, Virginia.

Leslie-Rouse

Annalee Leslie and Adrian Richard Rouse are engaged and planning to be married on May 4, 1996 in Roanoke. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Cornel Leslie of Roanoke. She is employed by Hayes, Seay, Mattern & Mattern, Inc. He is the son of Ms. Kay D. Rouse of Roanoke, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Edward Rouse of Brentwood, Tenn. He is currently serving in the United States Army.

Likens-Everett

She was graduated from Christiansburg High School and New River Community College. She is employed by New River Newspaper as an Advertising Repre sentative. He is a son of Mr. James E. King, Sr. of Dublin and Mrs. Rebecca S. Eicher of Christiansburg. He was graduated from Pulaski County High School and Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University.

Marcus-Tucker

She graduated from Shawsville High School and is employed by First Virginia Bank-Southwest. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin W. Gordon of Salem. Smith-Elliott

Sonya Marie Smith and Bradie Keith Elliott are engaged and plan to marry on July 20, 1996.

Miss Smith is the daughter of Don and Alice Smith of Fincastle, Va. She is a graduate of Lord Botetourt High School and Bauder College, Atlanta, Ga. She is employed by Allstate.

Mr. Elliott is the son of Charles and Lois Elliott of Eagle Rock, Va. He is a graduate of James River High School and is employed by Gala Industries, Eagle Rock, Va.

Stough-Deeter

Miss Laura A. Swope and 2nd Lt. Philip Scott Townsend, United States Army are engaged and planning to be married on May 11, 1996 in Lexington. She is a daughter of Mr. Fred C. Swope of Lexington. She was graduated from Sweet Briar College. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip A. Townsend of Roanoke. He was graduated from Virginia Military Institute.

Thompson-Jenkins

Jennifer Thompson and Jeffrey Jenkins are engaged and planning to be married in December 1996. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Thompson of Salem. She is a graduate of Glenvar High School and Radford University and is employed by Virginia Baptist Children's Home. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs.. Paul Jenkins of Salem.
