GRAND JURY INDICTS SUSPECT IN KILLING FORMER GIRLFRIEND

A man captured after a 20-mile chase that started in Bedford County and ended in Roanoke was indicted in the killing of a former girlfriend.

A Prince George County grand jury Tuesday indicted Shaun M. Love, 22, on a charge of murdering Sayonara V. McLaughlin. The grand jury also indicted him on charges of breaking and entering with the intent to murder and two firearms charges.

McLaughlin, 21, was shot three times March 5 in her home. She died five days later at Medical College of Virginia Hospitals in Richmond.

Love was arrested in Roanoke the same day after a collision at Orange Avenue and Hollins Road.
