ONE TO WATCH!

Virginia Tech physicists and Blacksburg recreation officials will team up Sunday to offer a viewing of Comet Hyakutake from one of the beauty spots of Blacksburg: the municipal golf course off Graves Avenue. The public is invited to join the celestial fun from 8 to 11 p.m. Sunday. Binoculars are recommended, though some telescopes will be available. In case of cloudy weather Sunday, the viewing will take place Monday night. If in doubt about the weather, call 231-5719. A Tech professor caught the comet (see photo at right) when it was 40 million miles from Earth. Sunday it should be a mere 9.3 million miles away.
