CELEBRATIONS ENGAGEMENTS

Bono-Davis

Dr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Bono of Roanoke are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Deborah Lynn, to Stephen Bryant Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald M. Davis of Henrico County.

Miss Bono graduated from Cave Spring High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Teaching degree from the University of Virginia. She is currently employed by Albemarle County Schools.

Mr. Davis graduated from J.R. Tucker High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Virginia. He is currently employed by Train and Spencer Architects.

An August wedding is planned in Charlottesville.

Dowell-Nininger

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald H. Dowell of Roanoke announce the engagement of their daughter, Tracie Paige, to Mr. William Christopher Nininger, son of Ms. Nancy Nininger and Mr. Roy Nininger of Roanoke. A September 1996 wedding is planned.

Galib-Parker

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Galib of Somerset, Massachusetts, and Mr. and Mrs. William Parker of Roanoke are pleased to announce the engagement of their children, Nancy Mary Galib and Eric Reid Parker. Nancy holds a BA Degree from The John Hopkins University, a JD Degree from Tulane University and a Master of Laws Degree from New York University. She is currently employed by The Office of Chief Counsel, Department of the Treasury. Eric is a 1981 graduate of Patrick Henry High School, Roanoke, and holds a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from the George Washington University. He is currently employed as a computer specialist for the Bureau of National Affairs, Inc.

The couple plan a June 1, 1996 wedding in Arlington, Virginia.

Hartman-Anderson

Christy Hartman and Jody Anderson are engaged and planning to be married on June 8, 1996 in Danville, Va. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.R. Hartman, Jr. of Roanoke, Va. She is a graduate of Northside High School and Virginia Western Community College, and is employed by Heat Transfer Sales in Charlotte, N.C. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Anderson of Danville, Va. He is a graduate of G.W. Carver High School and Old Dominion University, and is employed by First Union in Charlotte, N.C.

Henry-Rendon

Kristi G. Henry and Joe R. Rendon are engaged and planning to be married on February 14, 1997 in Salem. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Henry of Vinton. She graduated from Staunton River High School and Virginia Western Community College. She is employed by Hanover Direct. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe M. Rendon of Roanoke. He graduated from William Fleming High School and served in the U.S. Army. He is employed by Singer Furniture

Hillmann-Baird

Mr. and Mrs. John Frederick Hillman n of Silver Spring, Maryland are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Suzanne Gail, to Barry Wayne Baird, Jr. of Wilmington, Delaware.|

Miss Hillmann was graduated from the University of Delaware and is employed by MBNA America in Wilmington, Delaware.|

Mr. Baird, son of Mr. and Mrs. Barry Baird of Roanoke, was graduated from Patrick Henry High School and from Virginia Tech and is also employed by MBNA America. The couple will be married September 1, 1996 in Frederick, Maryland.

Jackson-Gresham

Mr. and Mrs. William E. Jackson of Bristol, Va., announce the engagement of their daughter, Chesley Suzanne, to F. Van Gresham II, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Van Gresham of Salem, Va. The wedding will take place June 22, 1996, at First United Methodist Church, Salem, Va. Chesley is a 1995 graduate of Virginia Tech, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science. She is employed by Meridium, Inc., of Roanoke, Va. Van is a 1995 graduate of Virginia Tech, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering. He is employed by Volvo GM Heavy Truck in Dublin, Va.

Monroe-Teague

Christina Lynn Monroe and Mr. Nelson Stone Teague, Jr. are engaged and planning to be married on September 14, 1996 in Georgetown, S.C. She is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. William Murchison Monroe of Greenville, N.C. She was graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She is employed as Director of Programs, Academy of Economics Education, Richmond, Va., and as Director of Sales for Grateful Pet, Richmond, Va. He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Nelson Stone Teague, Sr. of Roanoke. He was graduated from Washington & Lee University and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond, Richmond, Va. He is employed as Assistant General Counsel of First North American National Bank, a subsidiary of Circuit City Stores, Inc. in Richmond, Va.

Morris-Mundy

Kimberly Sue Morris and Dennis Michael Mundy are engaged and planning to be married in June 1997. Kimberly is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald P. Morris of Thaxton. She graduated from Staunton River High School and from National Business College. She is employed by Atlantic Mutual Companies. Dennis is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald L. Mundy of Roanoke. He graduated from Northside High School and attended the University of Tennessee. He is employed by Allstate Insurance Co.

Schneider-Emling

Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Schneider of Blacksburg, Virginia, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Suzanne Marie, to Joseph Louis Emling of Three Bridges, New Jersey, son of Col. and Mrs. David M. Emling of Rock Island, Illinois, formerly of Kankakee, Illinois. Ms. Schneider is a 1992 graduate of Blacksburg High School and will graduate in May 1996 from Virginia Tech. Mr. Emling is a 1990 graduate of Gar-Field High School in Woodbridge, Virginia, and a 1994 graduate of Virginia Tech. He is currently employed as a chemist by National Starch and Chemical Company in Bridgewater, New Jersey.

The wedding is planned for June 22, 1996, at Saint Michael Lutheran Church in Blacksburg, Virginia.

Shenton-Adamson

Mr. and Mrs. Calvert A. Shenton of Earlysville, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jill F. Shenton, to W. Russell C. Adamson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter C. Adamson of Daleville.

Miss Shenton was graduated from Albemarle High School, attended Radford University and PVCC, and is currently employed by Forest Lakes Child Development Center in Charlottesville.

Mr. Adamson is a graduate of Lord Botetourt High School and anticipates earning his degree in chemical engineering from the University of Virginia in May.

The wedding will take place in Charlottesville on August 17, 1996.

Vaughn-McMahan

Mr. and Mrs. Pierce L. Vaughn of Rocky Mount, announce the engagement of their daughter, Debra Ann, to Andrew C. McMahan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin C. McMahan of Blacksburg.

Miss Vaughn, a graduate of Randolph-Macon College and of Old Dominion University, is employed by Sentara Reference Laboratory in Norfolk, Virginia as a Medical Technologist.

Mr. McMahan attended New River Community College, the Medical College of Virginia's Paramedic program, and is pursuing a degree at Old Dominion University. He is employed with the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughter's Neonatal-Pediatric Transport Team in Norfolk, Virginia, and also provides general consulting services to emergency agencies in Eastern Virginia.

A June wedding is planned in Rocky Mount, Virginia.
