EAGLE SCOUT

          Memorial Methodist Church, recently received the rank of Eagle 
          Scout. Moran, the son of Barry and Jayne Moran of Vinton, worked on 
          a three-quarter-mile trail connecting Stonebridge and Goode parks 
          northeast of Vinton. He battled vandalism while building a bridge 
          and volleyball court in the parks. Moran is a senior at William Byrd
          High School.
