Neuman USA in exlusive pact

Neuman USA of Augusta County has entered into an exclusive distribution and sales agreement with Sato Metals of Tokyo to expand the aluminum can and collapsible tube market in Japan.

Under the terms of the agreement, Sato will have exclusive rights to sell Beuman aluminum products in Japan and Sato has agreed to sell only Neuman products. No value was placed on the agreement.

Internet firm changes name

The Webstation Co. of Blacksburg has canged its name to Apex Information Technologies Inc. The year-old company, located in the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center, offers Internet site development and Internet-related consulting services. The company can provide business will such technologies as Real Audio and the Internet as a wide-area computer network.

The company serves customers in the New River Valley and along the East Coast.

Va. resort to undergo face lift

WINTERGREEN - Officials at the Wintergreen pountain resort have announced plans for a $7 million face lift, including an additional nine holes of golf to complement the existing 18 at the Stoney Creek golf course.

"In the resort business, you never stand still," said Gunter Muller, Wintergreen's executive vice president and general manager.

In addition, Stoney Creek Clubhouse and its parking will be expanded, the level of Monacan Lake will be raised 3 feet, the Devils Knob Golf Clubhouse will be upgraded and some covered tennis courts for resort guests will be added.

Wintergree also will renovate and expand the Wintergarden Health Club and Black Rock Market.
