Johnboats: $30/half day; $50/full day

Campground

Cabins

Two-bedroom, climate-controlled $450/week, two-night minimum: $85/night. The park has 12 cabins located on the waterfront. They are popular for football weekends and college graduations as well as summer vacations. To reserve a cabin, call (800) 933-7275.

Swimming

13 and up: $2 week; $3 weekends, holidays

3-12: $1.50 week; $2.50 weekends, holidays

Under 3: free with adult

Covered picnic shelters

Large shelter: $70/all day; $40/half day

Small shelter: $40/all day; $24/half day

Gazebo: $40/all day; $24/half day

To get there

From Interstate 81, take Exit 101, follow signs to Claytor Lake State Park. State Park Road (Virginia 611) dead ends into the park in 3-4 miles. The park is approximately a 20-minute drive from Christiansburg; a 40-minute drive from Blacksburg.
