CRAGHEAD, Jennings Bruce, 81, our beloved and precious Daddy and loving husband, passed on to be with Jesus and his loved ones Thursday, July 18, 1996. No greater man hath ever lived; selfless, humble and loving. Mr. Craghead was born November 8, 1914 in Bedford County, a son of the late Joseph Bruce Craghead and Lillie Lipscomb Craghead. He was a member of the Morgans Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Eva Jacobs Craghead; three sons and their families, James Bruce and Faye L. Craghead, Moneta; grandson and wife, Jeffrey Bruce and Leigh Anne Craghead; great-grandson, Johnston Bruce Craghead; granddaughter and husband, Courtney Craghead Carr and Todd E. Carr; great-grandson, Samuel Jennings Carr; son, Jennings L. (Pete) and Margie P. Craghead, Moneta; grandson and wife, Michael Jennings and Lura Craghead; son, Robert N. (Bobby) and Patricia T. Craghead, Moneta; granddaughter and husband, Tonya Craghead Gordon and Ronald Gordon; grandson, Tracy Neal Craghead; a daughter and her family, Janet Craghead Sellers and Raymond Paul Sellers, Moneta; grandsons, Jason Paul Sellers, Joseph Lee Sellers, and a granddaughter, Jenna Suzanne Sellers; three sisters, Alma C. Obenchain, Moneta, Elizabeth C. Bays, Bedford, Ruth C. St.Clair, Hardy; a brother and sister-in-law, Clinton C. and Dorothy D. Craghead, Moneta; ; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 20, 1996 at 11 a.m. from the Morgans Baptist Church by the Rev. Elmer Sellers. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. FULP, Edward Lewis ""Chucky"", 72, of Daleville, died Thursday, July 18, 1996 in Lewis Gale Hospital. He was preceded in death by both his parents, John and Mamie Fulp; brother, Otey McClain Fulp. Mr. Fulp was retired from Norfolk & Southern Railroad, after thirty years of service as an engineer. He served with the Untied States Army in the Pacific Theatre at the Battle of the Philippine Islands. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy H. Fulp, of the home; sons, Tony L. Fulp, Daleville and Joel S. Fulp, Roanoke; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and David Dickinson, Birmingham, Ala., Thea and Carl Hambrick, Daleville and Carla Elaine Fulp, Troutville; one granddaughter, Brittany Hope Hambrick (Little Earth Angel), Daleville; one brother and sister-in-law, C. Lawrence (Larry) and Shirley Fulp, Roanoke; sisters and brother-in-law, Lois and Bob Cecil, Peggy Fulp Clark, Roanoke; one sister-in-law, Mabel F. Fulp, Roanoke. JEFFERSON, Lawrence J. Jr., 63, of Marietta, Ga., died Friday, July 12, 1996 in Atlanta, Ga. Funeral services were held Monday, July 15, 1996 in the Chapel of Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta, Ga. with the Rev. John Dallas officiating. Interment was at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta, Ga. Born in Roanoke, Va., Mr. Jefferson came to Marietta, Ga. in 1958 to work at Locheed Aeronautical Systems Corp. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a graduate of Virginia Tech. Mr. Jefferson had retired from Georgia Power Company as a Service Plant Engineer and was a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Georgia. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America and held the rank of Eagle Scout, Order of Arrow and was a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. Mr. Jefferson was a member of the Atlanta Woodcarver's Club and served as Treasurer. He was also a member of The Southeastern Woodcarvers and had demonstrated wood carving at the Sandy Springs, Ga. Art Festival. Mr. Jefferson was a member of St. Philip United Methodist Church in Marietta, Ga., where he served on the Building Committee, the Board of Trustees, and was a Scouting Coordinator. Surviving are his wife, Edna Crow Jefferson of Marietta, Ga.; sons, John N. Jefferson and his wife, Sandra of Woodstock, Ga., James L. Jefferson and his wife, Nancy of Marietta, Ga.; brother, James P. Jefferson of Salem, Va.; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. LUCARELLI, Anthony, (``Luke''), 84, of Roanoke, went to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, Thursday, July 18, 1996. Luke was born the son of Italian immigrants, December 10, 1911, in Arnold, Pa. He served in various battles and campaigns during World War II, including North Africa, Sicily, Rome, Arno, Naples, Foggia, Southern France, Rhineland and Central Europe. Upon retirement from the Army he received an honorable discharge in 1967. Luke, a self-made Renaissance man, was a master chef, and had many talents including writing, composing and playing music, and painting. He became a Christian while living in Germany prior to moving to Knoxville, Tenn. in the early 80's. He was very active in prison ministry and brought countless meals to prisoners in the Knox County Jail. He and his daughter, Nina, were reunited on an Easter Sunday weekend five years ago after 27 years of separation. Luke is survived by his one and only daughter and son-in-law, Nina and Patrick Donohoe; three grandchildren, Brendan, Jack, and Michael, all of Blacksburg; and numerous friends in Knoxville, Tenn. Graveside services will be held in the mausoleum at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 1996, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. Dr. Paul Ribbe of Blacksburg Christian Fellowship will officiate. MCCRACKEN, William H., 68, of Callaway, died Friday, July 19, 1996 at his residence. He was retired from Lane Company as Product Engineer with 30 years service. He was preceded in death by his son, Douglas Calvin McCracken. Surviving are his wife, Letha McCracken; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Giles and Penny McCracken, Callaway, William R. McCracken, Ferrum, Darin McCracke n, Callaway; three grandchildren, Shannon, Brandy and Brandon McCracken. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. MINTER, Nell S., 81, of Roanoke, died Friday, July 19, 1996. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Laraine Kidd Wade. She is survived by her husband, Lewis (Jack) F. Minter; three sons, Larry H. TOLLEY, Betty Louise Lawhorne, 62, of Buena Vista, died Thursday, July 18, 1996, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born May 26,1934 in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late Thurman Edward and Virginia Ramsey Lawhorne. Mrs. Tolley was co-owner of Kenny's in Lexington before retiring. She was a member of the Stone Church of the Brethren. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose in Lexington; Virginia Fair Association, and director of the Little Miss Rockbridge Pageant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth William Tolley. She is survived by a son, Kenneth William Tolley II and his wife, Sheila, of Mt. Sidney; a daughter, Barbara Theresa Smith and husband, Danny, of Glasgow; three grandchildren, Derek Fitzgerald Tolley, Megan Elizabeth Tolley, and Daniel Cole Smith; three sisters, Linda Lawhorne and Loretta Wade, both of Buena Vista, and Jane Gordon, Christiansburg; a brother, Walter ``Buddy'' Lawhorne, Glasgow; a special friend, Donald Chittum, Buena Vista. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 1996, at the Lomax Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William Thomas and the Rev. Wyatt Mayes officiating. VAUGHAN, Geneva Wright, 82, of Galax, died Friday, July 19, 1996, at the Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reid Hix Vaughan. She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Wilma Jeane and Pat Knight, Anderson, S.C. and Anna Vaughan Boyer, Galax; grandchildren, David and Kim Boyer, Doug and Jenny Boyer, Kim and Nathan Phillips, and Ronnie Morrison. Seven great-grandchildren also survive. Fun eral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel, Galax, with interment in the Monta Vista Memory Gardens. WIMMER, Marie Alice, 77, of Blacksburg, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 1996 at the home of her sister, Daphne McNiel. She was a resident of Warm Hearth Village in Blacksburg for the past 12 years, prior to moving there she was a life long resident of Floyd County. She was a member of the Huffville United Methodist Church and an affiliate member of Blacksburg United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Claude Wimmer; and a brother Lamer Wimmer. Surviving are her sisters and brothers-in-law, Daphne McNiel, Dorothy and Lewis Meredith, Lois and Charlie Epperly, all of Christiansburg; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harless and L.Z. Wimmer, Salem, Winston and Irene Wimmer, Pilot, Wesley and Diana Wimmer, Check, Ray and Marie June Wimmer, Rachel Wimmer, all of Christiansburg; 14 nieces and eight nephews and a number of great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 21, at the Huffville United Methodist Church, Floyd County, conducted by Rev. Herbert Hobbs and Rev. Richard H. Horne with burial in the Huffville United Methodist Church, Floyd Co., conducted by Rev. Herbert Hobbs and Rev. Richard H. Horne with burial in the Huffville Cemetery. The body will be placed in the Huffville Church one hour prior to the service.
