Blalock-Frioux

Mr. and Mrs. Dwight E. Blalock of Roanoke proudly announce the engagement of their daughter Kristen Lara, to Steven Roy Frioux. Kristen is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and James Madison University, and is a flutist with the United States Air Force Band. Steven is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Frioux of New Iberia, Louisiana. Steven is a graduate of New Iberia High School and the University of Southwestern Louisiana, and is a trombonist with the United States Air Force Band.

The wedding will be at Saint Peters Cathedral in Belleville, Illinois on August 24, 1996. The couple will make their home in Belleville, Illinois.

Chandler-Davis

Angela Lea Chandler & Ralf Matthew Davis are engaged and plan to be married Oct. 19, '96 in Providence, N.C. She is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Richard Chandler, Jr. of Danville. She graduated from Southall Christian School & attended Danville Comm. College. She is employed by CIT Group Commercial Services. He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Peyton Davis of Roanoke. He graduated from Cave Spring High School & Radford University. He is employed by Revco Drugs.

Clough-Powell

Dr. L. Robert Clough and Mrs. Carol P. Clough are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Robin Ann, to Chris Lee Powell, son of Mrs. Drucilla N. Powell and the late Mr. Michael H. Powell. An October 1996 wedding is planned.

Haneline-Parker

Miss Kimberly Dawn Haneline and Mr. Brian Eric Parker are engaged and planning to be married in October 1996 in Roanoke City.

She is the daughter of Constance H. Haneline of Martinsville and William W. Haneline, Sr. of Ridgeway. She is a graduate of Drewry Mason High School and a 1994 graduate of Radford University, with a B.S. in Nursing. She is employed by Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in the operating room as an RN. He is the son of Virginia L. Parker and Charlie R. Parker, Jr., both of Roanoke. He is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and attended Mary Baldwin College. He is employed by Sara Lee.

Hardy-Stevens

Robin Paige Hardy and Timothy Scott Stevens are engaged and planning to be married on April 5, 1997 in Roanoke, Va. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hardy of Salem, Va. She is a graduate of Salem High School and attended Virginia Western Community College. She is employed by the University of Virginia.

He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilber Byer of Roanoke, Va. He is a graduate of Northside High School and attended Virginia Western Community College. He is employed by Global Computer Associates

Hubert-Tobuck

Shana Hubert and Anthony Tobuck are engaged and planning to be married in the Spring of 1997. She is employed by the Cancer Center of S.W. Va. He is employed by Abbott Bus Lines.

Hutton-Goode

Robert Lloyd Hutton and Marva Wright Hutton are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Kimberly to William Allen Goode, the son of Frances McKenzie Goode, Danville, Va. and William and Ulean Torain, Chatham, Va. Lauren and William are graduates of Virginia Tech University. She is a research biologist for S.R.A. Technologies; he is an engineer for Loiederman & Associates, Inc., both in Rockville, Maryland. The wedding is planned for August 24, 1996, 1:00 p.m. at Sweet Union Baptist Church.

Jacobs-Mullins

Mr. and Mrs. Cecil H. Jacobs of Vinton are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Laurie Lee, to Tommy C. Mullins. M iss Jacobs is a graduate of William Byrd High School and Virginia Tech. She is employed by Grand Rental Station in Vinton.

Mr. Mullins is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John G. Mullins of Vinton and Mrs. Bonnie Witt of Vinton. He is employed by his family's business, the Vinton Pawn Shop.

Mr. and Mrs. George Keyes of Christiansburg are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Carrie Amanda Keyes, to Michael Lee Scott, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Richardson, also of Christiansburg. An October 4, 1996 wedding date has been planned.

Leslie-Radford

Mr. and Mrs. Russell G. Leslie of Blackstone, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Carylon Lewis Leslie, to Dr. Millard Nelson Radford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth L. Radford of Salem, Va.

Miss Leslie is a graduate of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital School of Nursing and is currently employed as a registered nurse in Roanoke, Va.

Dr. Radford is a graduate of Washington & Lee University and the Medical College of Virginia and currently has a family dental practice at Smith Mountain Lake, Va.

A September wedding is planned.

Perdue-Nezbeth

Angela Gay Perdue and Timothy Michael Nezbeth are engaged and plan to be married in an outdoor, western wedding on September 21, 1996 in Bedford, Virginia.

Angie is the daughter of Mr. James E. Perdue and Mrs. Dean Carter of Christiansburg. She is a graduate of Christiansburg High School, and is employed as Deli Manager at Food Lion in Roanoke. Tim is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul L. Nezbeth of Goodview. He is a graduate of Chalker High School in Southington, Ohio, and is employed as an over-the-road driver for Keal Driveaway in Dublin, Virginia.

Rummage-Bethay

Rev. and Mrs. Aaron Rummage are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Christina Marie, to Derek Todd Bethay of Marion, Indiana. Derek is the son of Lois Bethay of Marion and Jon and Sandy Bethay of Ft. Wayne, Ind. Both Christy and Derek are 1996 graduates of Indiana Wesleyan University and are presently employed by Spring Hill Camps of Evart, Michigan. A March 15, 1997, wedding has been planned at Emmanuel Wesleyan Church in Roanoke.

Smith-Slaubaugh

Ellen S. Scyphers and Ralph K. Smith of Roanoke proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, R. Kimberly Smith, to Steven S. Slaubaugh of McGaheysville, Virginia.

Steve is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry G. Slaubaugh of Bridgewater, Virginia. He is a graduate of Spotswood Senior High School and Bridgewater College, and is employed by Packaging Services, Inc., of Weyers Cave, Virginia, as a Sales Representative.

Kimberly, a graduate of Northside High School and James Madison University, is a District Sales Manager for BFI in Roanoke.

The wedding is planned for September 14, 1996 at 4:00 at First Baptist Church in Roanoke.

Stone-Robinson

Mr. and Mrs. Russell Stone are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Rhonda, to Keith Robinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Robinson. Rhonda is a graduate of Radford University and is employed by Friendship Christian School in Raleigh, N.C.

Keith is a former Virginia Tech Student and now attends Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. A June 14, 1997 wedding is planned.

Underwood-Crabbs

Mrs. Frances Underwood of Roanoke, Virginia, is pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter, Cynthia Elizabeth Underwood to Brian Christopher Crabbs. Cynthia is also the daughter of the late Kermit Underwood of Bluefield, West Virginia. Cynthia graduated in 1993 from Bluefield High School in West Virginia and attended Virginia Western Community College. She is employed by Virginia Prosthetics, Inc.

Brian is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard C. Crabbs of Salem, Virginia. Brian graduated in 1993 from Cave Spring High School in Roanoke, Virginia, and is attending New River Community College. Brian is employed by Magic City Ford and United Parcel Services. A June 7, 1997 wedding is planned.

Veneziano-Prince

Suzanne Veneziano and Guynn A. Prince, both of Winston-Salem, N. C., are engaged and planning to be married in October 1996. Suzanne is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sammy Veneziano of Wytheville, Va. She graduated from Roanoke College with a B.A. in Urban Planning and is currently enrolled in a Master of Liberal Arts at Wake Forest University. She is employed as Town Clerk for the Town of Clemmons, N. C. Guynn is the son of Mr. Jimmy Prince of Fuquay-Varina, N. C., and Ms. Anne Arnold, Holden Beach, N. C. He served in the United States Navy and is currently enrolled at N. C. Weslyan College. He is employed as an inspector for Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company.

Welch-Stoddard

Dennis and Kathryn Welch are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen Louise Welch, to William G. Stoddard. He is the son of William and Elizabeth Stoddard of Bartlett, Tennessee. A March 1997 wedding is planned.

Karen is a graduate of Virginia Tech. Bill earned a Bachelor's degree from Christian Brothers College and a Master's degree from Clemson University. Both are employed by IBM in Research Triangle Park, N. C., where Karen is a financial analyst and Bill is a software developer

Williams-Crookenden

Miss Angela C. ``Angie'' Williams and Mr. Ian S. Crookenden, Jr. are engaged and planning to be married on September 14, 1996 in Lexington, N.C. She is the daughter of Nikki L. Williams of Lexington, N.C., and Wayne and Joann Williams of Clemmons, N.C. She graduated from Lexington Senior High School and is a 1994 graduate of Randolph Community College. She is a former interior designer with Lexington Furniture Industries. He is the son of Christy and Bolling Izard of Roanoke, Va., and Ian and Dianne Crookenden of Winston-Salem, N.C. He graduated from Patrick Henry High School and is a 1991 graduate of the University of Virginia. He is employed as a sales representative with Lexington Furniture Industries.
