Berry-Bobbitt

Wendy Marie Berry and Allec Daniel Bobbitt, both of Roanoke, are happy to announce their engagement. Wendy is the daughter of Ed and Jeanette Berry of Callaway. Allec is the son of James and Betty Bobbitt of Christiansburg. The wedding is planned for early October in Rocky Mount.

Black-Martin

Mrs. Christine Carroll of Barboursville, West Virginia, is please to announce the engagement of her daughter, Sharon, Kay Black, to James Briggs Martin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Grover T. Martin of Radford, Virginia.

The bride-to-be is also the daughter of the late William H. Carroll. She is employed as a sales associate for Denbigh Auto Sales, Inc.

The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of New River Community College and the Newport News Apprentice School. He is employed by the Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Corporation.

A February 14, 1997 wedding is planned in Newport News.

Bohlin-Twitmyer

Mr. and Mrs. Richard N. Bohlin of Blacksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Catherine Jane Bohlin, to Mr. Robert Tucker Twitmyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Y. Twitmyer of St. Davids, Pennsylvania.

Ms. Bohlin graduated from the Darden Graduate School of Business with a Master of Business Administration and the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science. Currently, she resides in St. Davids, Pennsylvania, and is a manager at The Franklin Mint.

Mr. Twitmyer graduated from the Wharton School of Business with a Masters of Business Administration and the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts. He resides in St. Davids and is a Consultant with Andersen Consulting Strategic Services.

An April wedding in Charlottesville, Virginia, is planned.

Elliott-Altizer

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Elliott are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sheri Anne, to Todd Markle Altizer, son of Reginald and Patricia Altizer, all of Christiansburg.

Sheri is a granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Huff. Todd is a grandson of Mrs. Vera Markle of Salem.

Sheri is employed as a pharmaceutical sales representative for Zenith Goldline. Todd is employed by Ferguson Enterprises.

The wedding is planned for spring, 1997.

Finnell-Booker

Lori Ann Finnell and Kevin Carroll Booker are engaged and planning to be married on June 28, 1997, in Moneta, VA. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B.G. Finnell, III of Moneta, VA. She graduated from Virginia Tech and is employed by Allstate. He is the son of Mr. Jan Booker of Danville, VA, and Mrs. Susan Dahl of Danville, VA. He attended Hampden-Sydney College and is employed by Hodges Sign Company.

Foley-Williams

Cynthia J. Foley and J. Glenn Williams are engaged and planning to be married on November 23, 1996 in Roanoke. She is the daughter of Gladys E. Carter of Roanoke and the late Luther E. Guilliams. She is a graduate of William Byrd High School and is employed by Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Williams of Greenville, N.C. He graduated from D.H. Conley High School and Leon's Beauty School in Greensboro, N.C. and is the Educational Trainer/Designer for Premier Salon of Sears.

Gardner-Poindexter

Tonya Laverne Gardner and R. Michael Poindexter Jr., are engaged and planning a fall 1997 wedding in Roanoke.

Tonya is the daughter of Joyce Gardner and the late Clifford A. Bratton, and is the god-daughter of the late Allen H. Andrews. She is a graduate of William Fleming High School and is employed by First Union Bank.

Michael is the son of JoAnne E. and Richard M. Poindexter Sr. He is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and is employed by Roanoke County.

Hicks-Atkins

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Howard Hicks, Jr. of Daleville, Virginia are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Martha Louise, to Mr. Charles Wilson Atkins of Blacksburg, Virginia. The bride is a graduate of Radford University and received her Masters in Business Administration from Virginia Tech. The groom is the son of Mrs. Lillian Atkins of Pembroke, Virginia and the late Mr. Garnett W. Atkins. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech and is President of Wool Felt Products, Inc. in Roanoke. An October wedding is planned. The couple will reside in Blacksburg.

Lamanca-Gerhart

Kristi Jamison Lamanca and Gregory Michael Gerhart are engaged and planning to be married on November 23, 1996 at The Hotel Roanoke. Kristi is the daughter of Lew and Brenda Jamison of Salem. She is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and the University of Virginia. Greg is the son of Steve and Kris Stutsman of Chesapeake. He is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and Old Dominion University. He is employed by MacMillan Bloedel Building Materials.

Melhorn-Clark

Miss Holly Ann Melhorn and Mr. Barry L. Clark of Richmond, Virginia are engaged and planning to be married on May 17, 1997. Miss Melhorn is the daughter of Mr. Donald E. Melhorn of Midlothian, Virginia and Mrs. Kathryn K. Blair of York, Pennsylvania. Mr. Clark is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter L. Booth of Daleville and Mr. Kenneth L. Clark of Roanoke.

Miss Melhorn is a graduate of James Madison University and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. Miss Melhorn is an Associate Equity Analyst at Scott & Stringfellow, Inc.

Mr. Clark is a graduate of Ferrum College and is a Sales Supervisor with Mid Atlantic Medical Services, Inc.

Miller-Alldredge

Ann Marie Miller and David Wayne Alldredge are engaged and planning on being married on Nov. 2, 1996 in Lynchburg.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul S. Miller of Madison Heights. She graduated from Lynchburg Christian Academy, attended Liberty University, and is employed by Drs. Rapoport & Kynn, Optometrists PC.

The future groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Donald Alldredge of Lynchburg. He is a graduate of Lynchburg Christian Academy and Advanced Technology Institute, and is employed by Paul S. Miller, Contractor.

Rodriquez-McClure

Karen Beth Rodriquez and Stephen James McClure are engaged and planning to be married on April 5, 1997 in Roanoke, Va. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. Rodriquez of Pocahontas, Va. She was graduated from Pocahontas High School and Radford University, and is employed by Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital. He is a son of Dr. and Mrs. Clarence S. McClure of Daleville, Va. He was graduated from Lord Botetort High School and Radford University, and is employed by Member One Federal Credit Union in Salem, Va.

Scaggs-Todd

Ilona Scaggs and Jonathon Todd are engaged and planning to be married on April 26th, 1997. Both are 1993 graduates of Virginia Tech. Ilona has a degree in communications and is employed by Lawyers Title. Jon has a degree in mechanical engineering and is employed by Carrier Corporation.

StClair-Murray

Melanie Dawn StClair and Andrew Neil Murray are engaged and planning to be married on Nov. 23, 1996 in Roanoke. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry D. StClair of Botetourt Co. She was graduated from Lord Botetourt High School and National Business College. She is employed by the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. He is a son of Fred & Areitha Murray of Montvale & Ms. Pat Murray of Bedford. He was graduated from Liberty High School & is employed by Richardson & Wayland Electrical Co.

Taylor-Embleau

Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Taylor of Cloverdale announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Katherine, to Mr. Scott Embleau, son of Mr. Gary Embleau and Ms. Fran Embleau, both of Atlanta. A May wedding is planned.
