LOCAL ARCHITECTS WIN DESIGN AWARD

Hayes Seay Mattern & Mattern Inc., a Roanoke architectural firm, has won an award for the design of downtown Roanoke's Market Square Walkway. The bridge - 360 feet of steel and glass between the Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center and the City Market area - won a citation from the American Institute of Steel Construction in Chicago.
