DONATIONS DIDN'T END WITH 1996

Even with Christmas over, donations continue to come in from generous people who want to help others through the Good Neighbors Fund of The Roanoke Times.

Contributions by Friday had reached $94,863.62, a bit short of last year's $100,650.40 final total. However, it's possible that more donations will come in within the next few days.

Those requesting that their names not be used will remain anonymous. If no preference is stated, the donor's name will be listed.

Gifts cannot be earmarked for any particular individual or family. Gifts are tax-deductible.
