BOATING SAFETY COURSE OFFERED AT NRRC

A Virginia State Boating Course will be taught today and Thursday at 7 p.m., in Edward Hall at New River Community College for anyone interested in boating or in a discount on marine insurance. The free course is sponsored and taught by Friends of Claytor Lake in cooperation with the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.

The six-hour credit course covers subjects about boating safety, basic boating tips and rules and is approved by the National Association of Boating Law Administrators and the U.S. Coast Guard.
