tears during her second-degree murder trial Thursday in Franklin

County Circuit Court in Rocky Mount. Light admitted shooting her

live-in boyfriend, Clyde Price Jr., to death last September, but

said it was in self-defense. The Franklin County woman claimed

domestic abuse resulted in her shooting Price five times with a .45

caliber handgun. Several witness corroborated her claims of abuse

during the trial. The jury subsequently found Light guilty. Story
