Developer William Price withdrew a proposal for a new office park off Ramble Road Tuesday night before the Blacksburg Town Council. Price had requested to amend part of the Southpark planned commercial district on the east side of Ramble Road from planned commercial reserve to planned commercial for the Hunter's Crossing at Southpark development.

Earlier, the town Planning Commission had recommended Town Council reject the request because there wasn't enough open space provided in the plan and because land Price set aside in the Southpark planned commercial district to stay undeveloped was to be built upon in the Hunter's Crossing project.

Price said he plans to address the concerns raised and resubmit his request.
