DOROTHY P. GATEWOOD

{LEAD} Dorothy ``Dot'' Price Gatewood, 64, died Sunday, May 29, 1994, in a Virginia Beach hospital.

Mrs. Gatewood was born in Littleton, N.C., and was the widow of Walter Palmer Gatewood, who was the corporate vice president of Holiday Inns. During her husband's tenure as vice president of Holiday Inns, she served as hostess for many of the corporate functions.

{REST} She is survived by two sisters, Kathleen P. Ellington of Woodbridge, Va. and Mildred P. Midgett of Norfolk; two brothers, Morris R. Price of Virginia Beach and M.J. Price of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; three nieces and four nephews; and her loving canine companion, ``Dusty.''

A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, June 2, 1994, at 2 p.m. in Rosewood Memorial Park by the Rev. Dick Lewis. The family will be at Cox Funeral Home on Wednesday night from 7 to 8 p.m. for visitation.
