EMILY KING

{LEAD} Emily King, 74, of the 3800 block of Bentbranch Drive, died June 18, 1994, in her home.

She was a native of Jackson, N.C., and was the widow of Louis King. She was a member of Olive Grove Baptist Church, Norfolk, as well as being on the usher board, a pastor's aide, a deaconess, and a mother of the church.

{REST} She is survived by two daughters, Valerie Spencer of Norfolk, and Vanessa Ringer of San Diego, Calif.; two sons, Colia King of Chesapeake, and Walter L. King of Virginia Beach; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Olive Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Harry Davis. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Norfolk. E.A. Hughes Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. The procession will leave from 3824 Bentbranch Drive, Virginia Beach, at 11 a.m. Remains will be viewed at the church from 11 a.m. to noon the day of the funeral.
