ACQUITTAL IN SLAYING

{LEAD} A jury has acquitted a Norfolk teenager of the April 1993 slaying of a 41-year-old woman in the Park Place neighborhood.

Maurice H. Moore, 16, was charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm in connection with the murder of Theresa Johnson, whose body was found in the 600 block of W. 36th Street. On Friday, a jury found Moore not guilty of both charges after a two-day trial.

{REST} Johnson, whose last known address was in the 900 block of Cecelia St., was found shot to death early in the morning on April 2, 1993. Two days later, police arrested Moore, who was 15 at the time.
