SUFFOLK CRIME REPORT

The crimes listed were reported to the Suffolk Police Department. Because they are initial reports, they are allegations only, and may or may not have resulted in criminal charges.

DISTRICT A

Residential Breaking and Entering: 5600 block Plummer Blvd., June 23, a suspect entered through a window and removed a 19-inch color TV valued at $177 and a gold wedding band and engagement ring valued at $556.50.

Grand Larceny: College Drive, June 23, someone entered a classroom and removed a 33 MM Nikon FM2 camera valued at $633.

Grand Larceny: 5500 block Bennetts Pasture Road, June 23, someone removed an Alpine CD player and a Realistic equalizer from a vehicle.

Residential Breaking and Entering: 8000 block Crittenden Road, June 23, someone broke a back window and removed a Nintendo game, a Panasonic cordless phone/answering machine valued at $200, a Sony VCR valued at $500, a Sega game valued at $190, a power pack valued at $50 and an adaptor at $35.

Hit and Run (Property Damage): Route 17 and Harbour View Drive, June 26, a woman reported that a vehicle cut into her lane causing her to apply her brakes. The complainant was then struck in the rear by another vehicle.

Throwing Missile at Motor Vehicle: Route 17, June 28, a man reported that one of two suspects threw rock at a vehicle in motion.

Simple Assault: 6000 block Bradford Drive, June 28, a suspect struck a victim on the forearm, the back of the head and on the ear over an argument about property damage that occurred on June 27.

Abduction: Shoulder Hills Road, June 28, a man reported that he was abducted from a shopping center in Raleigh, N.C. The suspect displayed a chrome handgun and told the victim to drive to Virginia.

Petty Larceny: 6000 block Bradford Drive, June 29, a woman reported that someone came over her back fence and took her two miniature painted turtles from their tank.

DISTRICT B

Vandalism: 100 block Mallard Drive, June 27, someone broke a car window.

DISTRICT C

Petty Larceny: 800 block West Washington St., June 23, someone pumped $2.03 worth of gas without paying.

Petty Larceny: 1200 block North Main St., June 23, a suspect concealed a box of basketball cards valued at $29.97.

Petty Larceny: 700 block North Main St., June 23, someone pumped $7.48 worth of gas without paying.

Grand Larceny: 300 block North Main St., June 23, a woman reported that her belongings were ransacked and a large amount of items were taken.

Vandalism: 100 block South Saratoga St., June 25, someone broke a car window.

Petty Larceny: 100 block South Saratoga St., June 25, someone removed a state inspection sticker from a vehicle.

Vandalism: 200 block Chestnut St., June 25, a suspect broke a window causing $50 damage.

Petty Larceny: 600 block Mason St., June 25, someone removed a cellular phone from a vehicle.

Larceny of a Firearm: 1100 block North Main St., June 25, someone removed a

Petty Larceny: 1400 block North Main St., June 25, someone removed two Hollywood juniper evergreens.

Possession With Intent to Distribute LSD: 300 block West Washington St., June 25, a suspect was found to be in possession of LSD with intent to distribute (10 hits).

Recovered Stolen Firearm: Smith Street and South Saratoga, June 25, a suspect was approached after a police officer observed him with a handgun on his belt. The firearm was reported stolen in 1987 in Sedgwick County, Kan.

Petty Larceny: 800 block West Washington St., June 26, someone pumped $5 worth of gas without paying.

Petty Larceny: 800 block West Constance Road, June 26, a suspect removed a case of Colt 45 beer valued at $9.99.

Vandalism: 1200 block North Main St., June 26, someone scraped the left side of a vehicle with an unknown object.

Felonious Assault: 400 block Linden Ave., June 26, a complainant reported that a suspect came up to a victim and started arguing with her. The suspect took a knife and stabbed the victim in the head and on the left side of her face.

Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Distribute: Wellons and Jackson streets, June 26, eight marijuana cigarettes were found in a vehicle during a search.

Petty Larceny: 1300 block Holland Road, June 27, a man reported that a suspect broke into his vehicle and stole two floormats, a heater panel and a bag of tools.

Petty Larceny: 100 block Saratoga St., June 27, someone removed a city sticker from a vehicle.

Child Abuse: 900 block Brook Ave., June 26, a woman reported that when she picked up her 3-year-old child from a suspect, who had been baby-sitting, she observed bruising to the buttocks and thighs.

Residential Breaking and Entering: 400 block Brook Ave., June 28, someone pried loose a glass pane to a back door and removed cash from a bedroom dresser.

Hit and Run Personal Injury: Broad and Smith streets, June 28, a complainant reported that while crossing the intersection on a bicycle a vehicle entered the intersection without stopping and struck the complainant. The suspect fled the scene without stopping.

Grand Larceny: 6900 block Respass Beach Road, June 28, a woman reported that a suspect was in her bedroom fixing the door. After he left, she noticed $201 in cash was missing.

Unlawful Concealment: 1200 block North Main St., June 29, a security officer observed a suspect put her child's shoes in her purse and put a pair of shoes valued at $9.97 on the child. The suspect also attempted to leave the store with a hammer valued at $14.97.

Shooting in Occupied Vehicle: South Saratoga and Granby streets, June 29, a woman reported that a suspect fired two shots at her vehicle.

Petty Larceny: 100 block North Main St., June 29, a woman reported that someone removed her car keys from the ignition of her 1993 Chevrolet Corsica.

Petty Larceny: 200 block North St., June 29, a woman reported that she is missing $100.

Lost or Stolen Food Stamps: 500 block Pitchkettle Road, June 29, a man reported that his monthly allocation of food stamps valued at $30 have not arrived at his home.

DISTRICT D

Petty Larceny: 100 block Halifax St., June 23, someone removed an AM/FM cassette player and an inspection sticker from a vehicle.

Hit and Run (Property Damage): 1100 block Cogic Square, June 23, a child accidentally put a car into gear causing the car to hit an apartment building. Damage is estimated at $1,100.

Petty Larceny: 100 block Beech St., June 23, someone removed an inspection sticker from a vehicle.

Vandalism: 600 block Kinsey Lane, June 23, someone entered a home through a rear door. The victim does not know if anything is missing.

Petty Larceny: Center Avenue and Ben Street, June 25, someone removed an inspection sticker from a vehicle.

Grand Larceny: 400 block Briggs St., June 25, someone removed a window air conditioner.

Armed Robbery: 100 block Hall Ave., June 25, while a man was walking home, a two-door whitish-blue Monte Carlo, with two people inside, pulled up next to him. One man got out of the car and put his hands around the victim. The victim was shot in the leg.

Grand Larceny: 300 block North 5th St., June 25, someone removed an AM/FM cassette stereo from a vehicle.

Felonious Assault: 200 block Cedar St., June 25, a man reported that a suspect came in his house wearing his watch. When he asked her about the watch, she picked up a glass candle holder and struck him in the face.

Petty Larceny: 400 block Eola Ave., June 25, someone removed a bicycle.

Shooting into Occupied Dwelling: 1200 block East Washington St., June 25, a woman reported that someone shot a gun through her front bedroom window.

Aggravated Sexual Battery: Holiday St., June 26, a complainant reported that she was fondled by her stepfather.

Residential Breaking and Entering: 300 block Hill St., June 26, someone entered a home through a kitchen window and removed meats and a VCR.

Church Breaking and Entering: 200 block Raleigh St., June 26, someone broke a window and removed meat and 30 cans of soda.

Hit and Run Vehicle: 2500 block East Washington, June 26, someone hit a vehicle on the driver's side rear quarter panel.

Grand Larceny: 500 block Osceola Ave., June 27, a woman reported that a man approached her and began inquiring about roofing work to her home. He drew her attention to the back yard and the victim later found $350 was missing from her purse.

Petty Larceny: 200 block Bank St., June 27, someone removed a license plate from a vehicle.

Business Breaking and Entering: Madison Avenue and Factory Street, June 27, a man reported that someone pried open metal doors, broke slats out of a wooden door and one door was taken out of its rolling track and left open.

Malicious Wounding: 400 block Hull St., June 27, a victim and a suspect were involved in a verbal altercation. The suspect got a kitchen knife and cut the victim.

Felonious Assault: 400 block West Railroad, June 27, a husband and wife were engaged in a domestic dispute. The husband was cut several times with an unknown sharp instrument.

Sexual Assault: Raleigh Ave., June 27, a complainant reported that a victim came home from a suspect's house and told him that the suspect had put a stick in his buttocks.

Petty Larceny: 100 block South Capitol St., June 26, a woman reported that a suspect took a Motorola pager from her niece.

Vandalism: 1200 block Truman Road, June 27, a woman said that someone put a dent in her fence while jumping over it.

Business Breaking and Entering: 600 block Factory St., June 28, someone removed a 1-5 horsepower Briggs and Stratton water pump, a 1-3 horsepower Briggs and Stratton water pump, a fire extinguisher and a set of keys.

Petty Larceny: 1100 block Truman Road, June 28, someone removed an inspection sticker from a vehicle.

Vandalism: 2300 block East Washington St., June 28, someone broke a car window.

Grand Larceny: 2200 block East Washington St., June 28, a woman said that someone removed a Metro digital pager from her home.

Accidental Stabbing: 200 block Columbus Ave., June 29, a woman reported that her daughter was accidentally cut on the back of her right thigh while playing with a friend.

Possession of Cocaine: 500 block Ockawaha Ave., June 29, a substance believed to be crack cocaine was found during a search.

Petty Larceny: 400 block Cullodan St., June 29, a man said he invited a suspect into his home after meeting her on the street. The suspect removed money from the victim's wallet and ran from his home.

Grand Larceny: 1100 block East Washington St., June 29, someone removed a window air conditioner.

Habitual Offender: Stacy Drive, June 29, a suspect was found driving a vehicle after being adjudged a habitual offender.

Petty Larceny: 100 block Marshall Ave., June 29, someone removed an inspection sticker and city sticker from a vehicle.

DISTRICT E

Petty Larceny: 6200 block Holland Road, June 26, someone pumped $7.75 worth of diesel fuel and only paid $5.

Grand Larceny: 400 block Dutch Road, June 26, someone broke the hasp off a shed door and removed fishing poles, a lawnmower, a tiller, two hand power saws, two weed eaters, a bicycle and a box full of handtools all valued at $1,500.

DISTRICT F

Armed Robbery: 6000 block Whaleyville Blvd., June 23, a man reported that a suspect produced a firearm and demanded his vehicle.

Vandalism: 1800 block Hosier Road, June 26, a woman reported that someone struck her mailbox and crushed the newspaper box.

Petty Larceny: 8700 block South Quay Road, June 26, someone pumped $10.03 worth of gas without paying.

Grand Larceny: 4200 block Carolina Road, June 28, a suspect removed a spare tire from a trailer.

Vandalism: Lake Speight, June 29, someone broke a meter located on the side of a pump house wall. Someone also spray-painted letters on the tanks. by CNB
