Willie Hurdle Bass, 83, of Route 1, died Wednesday, July 6, 1994, at her residence.
A native of Gates County, Mrs. Bass was a daughter of the late Willis A. and Rosa Wilkins Hurdle. She was a member of Sandy Cross Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, John Linwood Bass; one sister, Nona H. Anderson of Edenton; and one brother, Noah A. Hurdle of Sunbury. She was preceded in death by a sister, Susie H. White and a brother, Hallet W. Hurdle.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:30 p.m. in Sandy Cross Baptist Church by the Rev. Terry Fowler. Burial will follow in the Damascus Church Cemetery in Sunbury. The family will receive friends at the residence. Williford-Barham Funeral Home, Edenton, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Albemarle Home Care, P.O.
