RICHARD HARRIS

Richard Harris of the 700 block of Reservoir Ave. died July 8, 1994, in Norfolk.

Mr. Harris was born in Norfolk and was retired from the Norfolk Sanitation Department after nine years.

Survivors include one daughter, Cynthia Williams Carney of Virginia Beach; one son, Kenneth Williams Jr. of Chesapeake; two sisters, Rosa Mae Marshall and Mary Alice Knight, both of Norfolk; three brothers, Columbus Harris, Melvin Harris and William C. Harris, all of Norfolk; four grandchildren; son-in-law, Larry Carney of Virginia Beach; daughter-in-law, Loretta Williams of Chesapeake; an aunt, Rosa Smith, and an uncle, James Austin, both of Norfolk; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1p.m. Friday in Macedonia Holiness Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. Kearney. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The family will receive friends at 1020 Charlotte St. The funeral procession will leave this address for the church at 12:15 p.m. Friday. E.A. Hughes Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
