Clarissa Harrell Perkins, 82, of Route 1, Box 185, died July 14, 1994, in an Edenton hospital.
A native of Gates County, she was the widow Lewis Henry Perkins. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church.
Survivors include children, Lois Ann Benton of Gatesville, Lewis H. Perkins Jr. of Fort Myers, Fla., Florence Lenora Butler of Hampton, Vernon Ray Perkins of Lexington, S.C.; one sister, Annie Sue Chappell of Gatesville; two brothers, Earl F. Harrell Sr. and Aubrey P. Harrell, both of Gatesville; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 3p.m. Sunday in Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. Laura Earley. Burial will be in the family cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home and at all other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Benton, Gatesville.
