ROBERT W. BELANGA

Robert W. Belanga, 81, of 1724 Cromwell Drive, a retired asphalt plant foreman, died July 16, 1994, in Sentara Nursing Center, Norfolk.

Mr. Belanga was born in Princess Anne County. He had retired from the city of Norfolk after 22 years. He was a member of Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church and was past high priest of Norview Royal Arch and Norview Masonic Lodge 113 A.F. & A.M.

Survivors include his wife, Myrle K. Belanga of Norfolk; two daughters, Barbara B. Cates of Norfolk and Joan B. Huddle of Suffolk; a son, Robert Earl Belanga of Norfolk; a sister, Ester Greening of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A graveside service with masonic rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by Dr. Paul Lawson. The family will be at the residence, 1724 Cromwell Road. Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
