THE TYPEWRITER IS THE KEY FOR THIS SALEM HIGH JUNIOR

ALTHOUGH SHE believes education is the key to success, typewriter keys run a close second in 15-year-old Kelly Munson's life.

Kelly, a rising junior at Salem High School in Virginia Beach, recently won fourth place for keyboarding applications at the Future Business Leaders of America National Leadership Conference held in Anaheim, Calif. In April, she won first place in the state contest.

When she's not life-guarding at Foxwood Pool, this self-admitted shy gal can be found tearing up the soccer field or jamming on a jet ski.
