Hazel Mizelle Jernigan, 79, of the 500 block of Exter Road, died Friday, July 29, 1994.
Mrs. Jernigan was a native of Bertie County, a homemaker and member of the Ross Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Jernigan Harrell of Colerain; two sisters, Vashtie Brown of Jackson, Miss., and Mildred Wright of Smithfield, N.C.; a brother, Henry A. Mizelle of Selma, Ala.; and two grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in Ross Baptist Church by the Rev. J.N. Baggett and the Rev. Lanny Ridgeway. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Walker Funeral Home, Windsor. Memorial gifts may be made to the Roanoke-Chowan Hospice, Ahoskie, or to the Samantha Hoggard Scholarship Fund, Windsor.
