WALTER R. SWANN

Walter Richard ``Rick'' Swann, 50, of the 400 block of Newtown Road, a self-employed contractor, died July 29, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. Swann was born in Bennettsville, S.C. He was a past president of the Consolvo Tent of Saints and Sinners, president of Chesapeake Bay Ambassadors Tent of Saints and Sinners, member of Bayside Masonic Lodge and Khedive Temple, past captain of the Khedive Mini Motors and the Khedive Scooters, which he founded.

Survivors include his wife, Myra Sue Swann; two daughters, Tammy S. Thompson and son-in-law, Mike Thompson of Virginia Beach, Wendy S. Lorenz and son-in-law, Todd Lorenz of Virginia Beach; stepson, Charles Andrews and his wife, Lela of Chesapeake; his mother, Lola Smith Harrison of Virginia Beach; sister, Barbara Wade of Virginia Beach; granddaughter, Skyler L. Thompson; and three stepgrandchildren, Gracie Andrews, Charlie Andrews and Paula Andrews.

A chapel service with Masonic rites will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Laskin Road Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital or to a charity of choice.
