ANN C. CHAPPELL

Ann Callahan Chappell, who was active in civic affairs in the Richmond area, died July 31, 1994, of cancer after a long illness. She was 67.

Mrs. Chappell, a native of New York, lived in Richmond for more than 40 years. She was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the College of William and Mary in Virginia. A skilled and enthusiastic chef, she also fancied black standard poodles.

She is survived by her husband, R. Harvey Chappell Jr. and her son, Robert H. Chappell III, both of Richmond.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Ann Callahan Chappell Fund, Alpha of Virginia, Phi Beta Kappa, c/o Professor Hugh Easler, College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Va. 23187, or to a favorite charity. Private graveside services will be held Wednesday morning. Joseph W. Bliley Funeral Home, 3rd and Marshall Sts., is in charge of arrangemetns.
