ROBERT GEORGE

Robert George, 80, of the 1200 block of Janaf Place, a retired aviation metalsmith, died Aug. 7, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. George was a native of Cairo, Ill., and a resident of Norfolk for most of his life. He had retired from the Norfolk Air Rework Facility after 39 years. He was a member of The Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation in Norfolk. He was a loving husband, father and papou.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Maria N. George; a daughter, Harriet Ann George of Norfolk; a son, Andrew Samuel George of Virginia Beach; a brother, William George of Norfolk; and two grandsons, Robert William and ``D.J.''

A church service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in The Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation by the Rev. Charles Goumenis and the Rev. Savas C. Constantinou. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends are invited to attend and greet the family following the Trisagion service in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.
