JONATHAN CHAING

Jonathan Chaing, 39, of the 3500 block of Green Garden Circle, a retired glass blower and designer, died Aug. 7, 1994, in Virginia Beach.

Mr. Chaing was born in Shanghai, China. He was employed with Glass Baron and was a member of First Chinese Baptist Church, Virginia Beach.

Survivors include his mother, Yu-Chai Lin; his father, Shao-Lian Jiang; and a brother, Siming Jiang, all of Virginia Beach.

A graveside service, conducted by Pastor Brian MacDonald and Dr. William Austin, will be held today at Princess Anne Memorial Park following visitation at Virginia Beach Christian Church, where the family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at First Chinese Baptist Church, 228 Pritchard Road, Virginia Beach. Memorial donations may be made to the Chaing family. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
