NORMAN T. COVERT

Norman T. Covert, 71, of the 3100 block of Havenwood Court, a retired pharmacist, died Aug. 12, 1994, in his residence.

Mr. Covert was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of the University of Toledo and a member of Kappa Pi Pharmaceutical Fraternity. He opened Covert's Pharmacy in Port Norfolk in 1954 and after retiring he resided in Snug Harbor, Hertford, N.C.

Survivors include a daughter, Tracy Covert Williams; a son, Terry Covert; a sister, Betty C. Moody; a brother, Allan O. Covert; a grandson, Bryan D. Albright; and his loving friend and companion, Joyce G. Johnson.

A funeral, followed by entombment, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Greenlawn Memorial Mausoleum by the Rev. Tom Potter. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland. Friends may wish to make contributions to a charity of choice in his name.
