ELLA MAIE SHANAHAN

Ella Maie Shanahan of One Crawford Parkway, died Aug. 11, 1994, in a local nursing home.

She was the widow of Senator William Francis Shanahan of Swampscott, Mass. After the death of her husband, Mrs. Shanahan returned to Portsmouth and made her home with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kilby. She was a member of Court Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by one sister, Josephine Harrell Kilby, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held in Churchland Baptist Cemetery, Sunday, Aug. 14, at 2 p.m. by Dr. Wilbur Kersey.

With deep appreciation, the family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Court Street Baptist Church.

Arrangements are by Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel.
