LARON D. GIST

Laron D. Gist, 17, of the 3800 block of Augustine Circle, died Aug. 14, 1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

He was born in Columbia, S.C. He was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church and attended First Baptist Church Elm Avenue.

Survivors include his mother, Billie D. Morris Gist of Portsmouth; his father, Larry D. Gist of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two sisters, Tyrane Green and Stacy Gist; two brothers, Cessy Green and Germain Green; a stepbrother, Nicholas Hyater; and his paternal grandmother, Gerena Gist Wooding, all of Portsmouth; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Mount Carmel Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. E.T. Knight and the Rev. Gregory S. Thomas. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday in Corprew Funeral Home, where the family will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday. The body will be taken to the church at 2 p.m. Friday.
