WALDO F. GRANDSTAFF

Waldo Franklin Grandstaff, 61, of 108 Millstone Road, died Monday, Aug. 15, 1994 at his residence.

He was the husband of Barbara Ann Kibler Grandstaff.

Born in Page County on June 23, 1933, he was a son of Glendon Grandstaff of Front Royal and the late Anna Fox Grandstaff. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and an evangelist minister. He was preceded in death by two sons, Benjamin and David Grandstaff.

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by three sons and their wives, Tim and Theresa Grandstaff and Steve and Denise Grandstaff, all of Lynchburg, and Glen and Cris Grandstaff of Virginia Beach; three daughters and their husbands, Roxanna and Dan Maule of Lynchburg and Rebecca and James Wray and Heidi and Mike Jenkins, all of Danville; one daughter-in-law, Susan Grandstaff; five brothers; three sisters; and 11 grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Mount Carmel Regular Baptist Church in Luray with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Thompson and Pastor Buddy Caviness officiating. Burial will be in Beams Chapel Cemetery in Luray. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 10 p.m. at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel, Lynchburg. The body will lie in state from 11 a.m. until the time of service, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Barbara Grandstaff.
