Lessie Mae Freeman, 76, of the 1400 block of Blythewood Lane, died Aug. 16, 1994, in Portsmouth General Hospital.
Mrs. Freeman was born in Suffolk, daughter of the late Willie and Minnie DeLoatch. She was retired from Planters Peanut Co. after 38 years and was a member of East End Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Willie Mae Bullock of Virginia Beach and Betty Jean Freeman of Suffolk; a son, William Arthur Freeman of Suffolk; and five grandchildren, Sheryl Freeman, Brian Freeman, Kelly Freeman, William A. Freeman Jr. and Christopher Freeman.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in East End Baptist Church by the Rev. Mark A. Croston Sr. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 12:30 p.m. Friday. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Freeman, 2509 Cedar Lake Drive, Suffolk.
