HOW TO SAVE NORTH

Electing Oliver North to the United States Senate seriously would jeopardize his life. In no way would I want to be responsible for his early death.

If a large security force is necessary for Oliver North during his travels in this state and this country before his election, just think what it's going to be like after his election, and who is going to pay for it?

If the election had been held prior to publishing his security requirements, I would have voted for Oliver North for the U.S. Senate. However, since reading the article ``Ollie's army'' (news, Aug. 14) concerning his bodyguard, security force and, in general, his entourage on all his travels around this state and this country, I cannot in good conscience vote to place him in further danger.
