ALLEN D. VEST

Allen Demeris Vest ``Al Vest'', 74, of the 100 block of South Palm Ave., a retired master mechanic, heavy equipment, died Aug. 18, 1994, in his residence.

Mr. Vest was born in Floyd County, Va., and was formerly of the Roanoke area. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired from Kitchen Equipment Co. after 30 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Vest Reagan and son-in-law Ronald C. of Virginia Beach and Deborah Vest Spalding and son-in-law Michael A. of Ahoskie, N.C.; three sisters, Bessie Craighead McDonald of Copperhill, Va., Vida Atkins of Vinton, Va., and Virginia Crouch of Roanoke, Va.; and grandchildren, Aaron Allen and Alicia Raylene Reagan.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Woods Funeral Home, Floyd County, Va. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery, Copperhill, Va. Local arrangements provided by Kellum Funeral Home.
