ANNIE BURRUS

Annie Burrus, 73, of the 1200 block of W. 39th St., a housewife, died Aug. 17, 1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Mrs. Burrus was born in Fairfield, N.C. She was a member of First Baptist Church Lamberts Point, Norfolk, and a member for 20 years.

Survivors include her husband, Matthew C. Burrus; a son and his wife, Harvey Burrus and Pilae Burrus; two sisters, Rebecca Murray of Norfolk and Leona Harris of Fairfield, N.C.; three sisters-in-law, Edna Riddick of Elizabeth City, Agnes Cooper of Norfolk and Sandra Gaylord of Virginia Beach; brothers-in-law, Charles Murray of Norfolk, Enoch, Delmonte, Marshall and Franklin, all of Elizabeth City, N.C., George Gaylord of Virginia Beach and Roy Burrus of Spring Valley, N.Y.; grandchildren, Annie, Marlene and Harvey Jr., all of Virginia Beach; and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives and friends. !!You'll be forever missed!!

A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday at First Baptist Church Lamberts Point by the Rev. Anthony Paige. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation at Twilight Funeral Home will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Monday. Family and friends will assemble at 11:15 a.m. Monday from 1266 W. 39th St. for processional to the church.
