Velma LaVerne Hopkins, 75, of the 4700 block of Pinehurst Ave., died Sept. 20, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Hopkins was born in Louisa County, Va., and was retired from the accounting department of Norfolk Savings and Loan. She was the widow of Clive Estrey Hopkins.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Clyde E. and Ruth L. Hopkins of Norfolk; a sister, Elma Estelle Walker of Bedford, Va.; a brother, James LaFe Hall of Caleo, Mo.; two grandchildren, Christopher Earl Hopkins of Norfolk and Sharon Elizabeth Greer of Virginia Beach; and two great-grandchildren, Kayla Elizabeth Greer and Chase Alexander Greer, both of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Susan P. Solomon. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.
