WILLARD H. MARABLE

Willard Hughes Marable, 75, a retired CPA, died Sept. 21, 1994, in his home.

He was born in Portsmouth and was retired as an owner/partner in Craver Green & Co. Mr. Marable was a member of Park Place United Methodist Church, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Cedar Point Golf Club and Norfolk Yacht & Country Club. He was a former member of Virginia Club and the Norfolk Optimist Club. He was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Portsmouth and the College of William and Mary.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy C. Marable; daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy Jo and Nelson R. Arnold of Norfolk, Mary Gayle and Samuel G. Coward of Patux River, Md.; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne Hughes and Lynn Woiblette Marable of Chesapeake; five grandchildren, Nelson Todd Arnold and Ashley Gayle Arnold, both of Norfolk, Kelly Elizabeth Coward and Mathew Gordon Coward, both of Patux River, Md., and Sean Hughes Lewis Marable of Chesapeake.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Francis Collins. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to Park Place United Methodist Church or a charity of choice.
