James Harold Beachum, 64, died Friday, Oct. 7, 1994, in his home.
Mr. Beachum was retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation. He was a member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, where he served as a Deacon and Elder.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia W. Beachum; a daughter, Patrice B. Ennis; infant grandson, Jerry G. Ennis III of Portsmouth; a son, James A. Beachum of Virginia Beach; a sister, Hilda B. Mansfield of Suffolk; and his mother, Mittie B. Perry of Portsmouth.
A private burial will be at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be conducted at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 1885 Bridge Road (U.S. 17), Suffolk, at 5 p.m. Sunday. Visitation with the family will follow the ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to either St. Andrew Presbyterian Church of Suffolk, or the Maryview Hospice Program. Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel, is handling arrangements.
